Vesper - Decaf Colombia Single Origin
In Latin Vesper means “evening star." In Old English it’s æfen-sang, which sounds a little like “evening song.” In the Christian tradition, vespers are prayer services occurring later in the day. Whether it’s a church service or a jazz band at sunset, if it’s in the evening, it’s a vesper and this the coffee to pair with it. This decaf is smooth, full bodied and - most importantly - doesn't taste like chemicals!
Karol Coffee’s decaf beans (“Vesper”) use the Sugarcane/Ethyl Acetate (EA) method, which many experts prefer for preserving flavor and complexity. In this method, steamed beans are soaked in water mixed with ethyl acetate, a naturally occurring compound that binds to caffeine. The process is repeated until caffeine is removed. If you want a decaf that tastes nearly identical to regular coffee, Vesper is a great choice!
