Fat Toad Farm began in 2007 as a homesteading experiment with a single doe named Jupiter. It grew into a beloved producer of traditional goat’s milk caramel sauces, hand-stirred in small batches using just a few simple, all-natural ingredients. Over the years, the founders grew the business from their own herd into partnerships with Ayers Brook Dairy and Joneslan Farm, who produce the mild, sweet milk that makes exceptional caramel.
In 2022, the founders passed the torch to Butterfly Bakery of Vermont, which now proudly owns Fat Toad Farm Caramel as part of its line of award-winning farm-to-fork products. They continue to craft the award-winning caramel in Barre, Vermont with the same dedication to quality and tradition.
The versatility of Fat Toad Farm’s caramel means that it’s perfect drizzled over ice cream, swirled into morning coffee, spooned onto fresh fruit, or paired with your favorite artisan cheese. It’s also an indulgent treat straight off the spoon.
